Helpful Hints On Weight Loss & Smoking
The following helpful hints are things that I, myself have used to help with my weight loss. I found these things through trial and error or by researching online. I hope these will help you!!
HELPFUL HINTS ON EATING
Before starting, you MUST get in the right mind set. If you tell yourself, "I can lose 5 pounds a month", this is realistic! That is 60 pounds a year! This is a significant amount of weight. This thought process has been EXTREMELY helpful to me!!
Make Healthy Choices

Drink Water
Stop eating when your body tells you it is full
Only put 1\2 of what you normally eat on your plate
Eat a piece of fruit 20-30 minutes prior to eating a meal
Eat several small meals a day instead of 3 large meals
Eat fruit and vegetables as snacks

Eat slowly and you will find that you will enjoy your food more
Have your favorite food once in a while - but remember - portion control and do not indulge yourself everyday
Stay away from ALL soda - Even diet soda

When you pick up that cookie, ask yourself, "Do I need it OR do I just want it"
Try to stay away from salt - there are many spices out there that are salt free and are very good
Take a daily multi vitamin

Stay away from caffeine, this will hinder your weight loss

Last, but not least, Let the staples work for you!! Do not dwell on your staples - NOR- should you dwell on the people who are "watching" you to see if the staples work.

Make Healthy Choices
Take pictures and measurements before you start. It is very exciting to see where you have been and where you are going
You may start to lose inches before you actually start to lose weight. You may notice your clothes fitting different before you actually start to lose the weight.
Start walking or exercising (ask you doctor first before starting any diet or exercise plan)

HELPFUL HINTS ON SMOKING
Don't expect to quit the first day
Everyone is different, so do not be discouraged if your friend has quit smoking before you
If you just cut back 1-2 cigarettes a day, YOU ARE SUCCEEDING!!
After you quit, the nicotine will take 6-8 weeks to flush out of your system completely
If you need to feel the hand to mouth feeling that you are used to from smoking, try a sugar free lollipop or a toothpick

HELPFUL HINTS ON HOW TO GET THE MOST FROM YOUR STAPLES
DO NOT touch or wiggle you staples Even if "YOU" think they are loose, please do not continue to touch them, you will only make the matter worse
Keep your ears and staples clean and dry! This is very important to prevent infection. If you accidentally touch your staples, clean them immediately as directed with the information given to you in your after care packet
Make sure you rub your stimulation point 6-8 times a day This is VERY important!! Do this the entire time you have your staples in.
Remember, the staples will target what you body needs first
